Let's start with who we are not. We are not movie critics or professionals who have been in the movie industry for many years. Our only direct contact with being in front of or behind the camera was witnessing the filming of an episode of a TV series about a decade ago. The reason was that part of the episode was shot in our office. And it was definitely an experience that made us see up close that the cast and crew deserve much more respect.

As two moviegoer brothers, we formed a team of creative individuals and started the MovieListHUB project, where we could share our common passion. We started our project in October 2023, with our many years of experience watching movies and evaluating them among ourselves. Yes, as passionate people who met cinema before the digital age, we may be a little late, but we are currently focused on the future.

What is our goal? To create movie lists with a wide variety of titles, without adhering to stereotypes as much as possible, and to share them with you. We hope that sometimes the subjects of the movie lists we write and sometimes the movies on the list will surprise you.

While preparing our movie lists, we focus on being objective and clearing ourselves of general opinions about movies. At some point, personal opinions conflict with general acceptance. But in the end, of course, the preferences of the creator of the list play a big role in shaping the movie lists. These are not mathematical equations, they are evaluations within a logic mixed with personal preferences, and they have no certainty. In each list, we reveal ourselves and our preferences. This is what creates diversity; otherwise, the same films would be in the same ranks on all movie lists.

We would like you to know that while preparing our movie lists, we prioritize the strength of the connection between the subject of the movie and the subject of the list. The appearance of a shark in a movie does not make it a shark movie, nor does a movie's box office success move it to the top of the list. We consider each movie list independently and make our movie selections based on their relevance.

We are aware that you will be very angry with us when you don't see the movies you think should be on some lists. And sometimes, when you see the movies on the list, you will want to watch them for the first time or again. Of course, we are all humans, and some productions may escape our attention, but they may also be left out due to limited space. That's why we update our movie lists and add newly released movies, and we grow our lists step by step and include more movies.
